Modern Witch Hunting
Demystifying a powerful poltergeist
This exploration deepens context for Archiarchy, a regenerative culture of Radical Responsibility that is rapidly emerging around the world. This research demystifies the old ghost of Witch Hunting, both from the orientation of being ‘Witch Hunted’ as well as from the orientation of being a Witch Hunter. I write this so that you - spaceholders, edgeworkers and geniuses - need no longer hide behind the fear of being ‘Witch Hunted’ as an excuse for not showing up in the world. I also write this to slingshot the modern Sword Of Clarity wielding Witch Hunter out of the chains of modern day survival and into your true calling, cultural evolution through healing and transformational relationship.
I sit on my bed after asking a member of the Writing House for an Emotional Healing Process to make conscious use of the energetic tsunami crashing on the shores of my 5 bodies.
Tears push through my closed eyes and roll down my cheeks. I breathe hard and shallow through waves of 85% intense pure sadness. Finally the wall breaks and sobs rock my body, loud gasps come from deep inside my chest. My heart wails as I enter the reality that I am heartbroken.
I have lost so many friends, teams, and villages to Witch Hunting. The memory of a Past Life surfaces. I am standing with a fellow woman, a colleague with whom I have been transforming our village. Her gaze has shifted since I last saw her. She tells me that she cannot continue our work because she is a mother, a wife, a caretaker, and what I stand for prevents her from being what she wants. “You put these strange ideas in my head!” She is afraid of me now. She delivers her final blow, “And others feel the same. You should not be here. We do not want you around.”
Back then, my only option was to flee for my life into exile. But losing my village is not why I am heartbroken this time. I know I can find another village and build another team. I have done it so many times before.
I am heartbroken now because I open to the realization that my past-life friend’s banishing words are not real. Her attacks are just a well-disguised survival strategy to avoid the pains of the evolution of consciousness. She is merely afraid of the unknown, and has not yet learned to inner navigate her conscious fear. I am heartbroken because so many of my brilliant friends have been energetically killed by Witch Hunting. Too many projects have collapsed under the terror of this ghostly attack. So much has been lost.
I scream in Rage, “I HATE IT! I hate it so much! All our work, all our aliveness just disappears. How can something so real just disappear?” I hit the bed with my fists. “In the aftermath, nobody says anything real anymore! They only think, ‘How can I stay safe? Who will betray us next? Arrrrrghhh! I hate this! Why does the Unmaker get to win?! I hate it.”
I feel powerless. Stuck. All my Love and Possibility is about to succumb to the darkness of fears and threats. I think, “If I argue, it will support their storyworld that I am trying to coax them into a belief system, that I am trying to brainwash them into a cult.”
Two parts wage war inside of me.
One part tries to convince me to tolerate people’s unconscious divisive plots. It advises me, “You cannot expect people to be more aware than they are. They are doing the best they can.” Then God’s voice sneaks into my head and admonishes, “Forgive them; for they know not what they do.”
But the other part roars back, “It is UNACCEPTABLE! They choose to not be responsible! They pretend to be unaware of the context in this space. They somehow believe they are free of the consequences of their actions! But ignorance is no excuse.”
I have seen it before. Villages collapsing because they are only united by having a common enemy. Leaguing together against ‘the witch’ is a weak glue for a community. When the original foe is gone and forgotten, the cycle must start all over again. A new traitor is needed. No one dares to take a stand. Everyone is terrified they will be branded as the next public enemy #1. People turn into zombies living a vacant half-life under the constant threat of being caught. Inventors, spaceholders and edgeworkers… their vast potentials lost to fears of being hounded by a mob.
My past life self does not give up so easily. The Witch Hunting is working. How do I know? Because I begin to doubt myself… “Was it something I said? How did I cause this? Could I have said something differently? Changed my tone of voice? Let it slide? Used kinder fuzzier vocabulary? Where is my responsibility?”
But I now see the insanity that self-doubt triggers in me. My own survival strategy of being a rescuer attempts to take responsibility for people’s underworld behaviors. My Gremlin tries to lure me into becoming a better rescuer fueled by self-doubt. I see the game I have been playing now. Because I alleviated the consequences of people’s actions, I allowed ‘Witch Hunting’ technology to go on. I hesitated to immediately put the poop on the table to dismantle its baseless fearmongering threats.
I roar, “People DO know what they are doing! I no longer tolerate attacks, division, and terrorism under the guise of victimhood and ignorance! Witch Hunting is poison in the webs of the village. I no longer accept the damage. It stops now.”
In this intense liquid state, a new matrix builds in my inner structure. Like a new limb growing, I feel fresh neuron pathways reaching out and weaving with each other. New parts of my Being unfold to occupy the now available potential space. New clarities reveal themselves, such as the necessity to demystify the ordinary survival strategy of ‘Witch Hunting’.
‘Witch Hunting’ is a Survival Strategy
‘Witch Hunting’ runs deep in our cellular memories. The simple thought of being singled out by a mob and identified as ‘a witch’ can terrorize any genius enough that they hide away and quiver in their boots. How many geniuses are in your circle, hoping that some day it might come to be safe enough for them to share their gifts? It could be far more than you think! If you have done past life healing processes, chances are you found memories of being killed as ‘a witch’ for disturbing the peace, the rulers, or the pope, perhaps more than once.

The Inquisition times may be over, but Witch Hunting is still very much alive today. The deception is that ‘Witch Hunting’ usually conjures up images of pitchforks, burning pyres, and hanging ropes. Just because the old implements have been put away does not mean that Witch Hunting has disappeared. Modern Witch Hunting disguises itself under a veil of reasonability. In current politically-correct artificially-marketed societies, emotionally-charged narratives have to be taken ‘seriously’. Unsuspecting members of society are indoctrinated into the ‘seriousness’ of the matter. If you don’t buy into the dominating story that people’s emotions are real, you are branded a heretic.
‘Serious’ matters these days include being trans, being non-binary, or taking on any other LGBTQ+ identification, as well as being a black woman, indigenous, jewish or palestinian, disabled, being ‘neurodivergent’, being ‘on the spectrum’, or being in any kind of agreed-upon minority.
What makes those narratives so compelling is that they are about identity. “This is who I am! If you refuse to conform to the expectations crystalized in my Box-identity, you are the evil betrayer who is abusing me!”
The opening scene of a Witch Hunt often carries a similar mood and theme:.
“You cannot talk to me like this because I am a [fill in the blank]!”
“You insult me if you don’t call me ‘they’.”
“This space is not safe. I am being retraumatized.”
“Don’t call us ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’. I am not a lady.”
“You are forcing me to sit, but my neurodivergent brain only works when I constantly move around.”
“You are abusing me. I know because I am a Latina woman and my ancestors have been abused by white men before.”
“You are a cult who blocks people from expressing themselves.”
“You don’t know me, so you can’t say anything about me.”
“White women cannot talk about being colonized.”
“You know nothing about me.”
On and on.
Previous indoctrination into how Witch Hunts go makes the attacks so sensational and compelling to a mob. The technique is to hypnotize a big enough mass of compliant believers and flame their righteousness to take down the projected authority figure. Every wounded person’s bravado ignites to get a chance at revenge on the ‘big people’ who hurt them in the past.
The mechanism is as follows. If someone expects you to substantiate their Box-identity, they are giving their center away to you. When they give their center away, they turn you into a projected authority figure. If you refuse to submit to their survival identification, the only way they imagine to care for themselves is to ‘kill’ you. Their Box enters tunnel vision, chanting: “It’s you or me!” Their Box experiences your dismissal of their survival identity as a kill-shot. What better way to justify revenge than to rally an army of zombies who agree that you are the enemy of the people?
How To Undermine Witch Hunting…
PART 1: WHEN OTHERS TRY TO ‘WITCH HUNT’ YOU
Spaceholder, remember this: You are not an ‘authority figure’. You have personal authority, but no more authority than anyone else would have if they stopped disempowering themselves. Right now, the person about to unleash a Witch Hunt on you is choosing to disempower themselves. They think you have all the power, and the only way they can have power is by taking you down.
The instant your personal Gremlin gets hooked by their attacks, you are snapped into their storyworld and act according to their script. You completely undermine yourself (and your context and your culture) by entering their proposed war.
Your job is to stay centered in your culture of Radical Empowerment. Your offer to any person who thinks they lost their own personal authority by giving their center away is to take their center back. Because you do not want it! You want them to have their own center so they can be present and can consciously feel so as to creatively collaborate in the team.
What I am really angry about is the ‘bogeyman factor’ in Witch Hunting because it instills nebulous fears and doubts in spaceholders who stick their necks out, take a risk, and take a stand for something extraordinary.
If you let self-doubt cut you off from your wildest impulses, it is time for you to become asshole enough to pull the rug out from under the assumptions and stories about to invoke the hypnotized mob into a Witch Hunt. “Yeah! Burn the witch! They deserve to die!” Your fear of Witch Hunting is your detector that people are falling under the Witch Hunt spell.
Using nonlinear Quest-Ions shift the context of the space into a Practice Space in which (pun not intended) you ‘Witch Hunt’ each other about Witch Hunting. Develop the skills of throwing cold water into the face of the entire crowd. Wake them up from their delusional righteousness. If you cannot be such a radical space-navigating Asshole, you will hide out in the crowd and watch them burn the witch.
Asshole Training starts by putting your own head under cold water and waking up about the suddenly existing ‘granfalloon’ (a term from the book Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., on the Possibility Books reading list). A granfalloon is ‘a proud and meaningless association of human beings. [For example] any nation, anytime, anywhere.’ Which granfalloons are you snapped into? Being American? Being jewish? Being a trader? Being a dog-lover? Being a loyal corporate man?
What other ‘serious’ matters or granfalloons are you pretending ignorance of that a Witch Hunter can easily sink their teeth into such as:
Retraumatization. This Witch Hunt justification trigger is often paired with the comment, “This space is not safe.” The glorification of ‘safety’ is a cornerstone of Modern Culture. ‘Safety’ justifies eliminating initiations, waring against a chosen enemy (to prove that we need soldiers and a profitable military industrial complex to assure ‘the safety of our people’), it justifies hoarding money and paying for insurance. For deeper context, please research the Old Map of Cultural Design.
Indigenous cultures are definitely Witch Hunt triggers. The retort that you are ‘westernized’ or ‘white’ comes quick if you dare being radically clear that indigenous cultures use hierarchical power structures, exterminated endemic species, warred on anyone ‘other’ and ‘conquered’ lands. If you too romanticize indigenous cultures, you can unhook yourself by studying them from an Archan perspective.
Misidentifying confrontation and critical thinking as ‘abuse’. Without a razor-sharp sword, you create no space for transformation. Confronting ordinary sleeping behavior is the foundation upon which new distinctions can come to life. Distinguish fiercely in yourself to determine if you are trying to manipulate people to change (which is abusive) or if you are confronting and saying what you want.
A further trigger is the belief that ‘everyone needs to be included’. You may be targeted by a Witch Hunt for ‘excluding someone’. Do you know the expression ‘paying in the coin of the realm’? Archetypally sourced transformational spaces are not for everyone. To enter an Archetypalls sourced transformation space, one needs to pay in the coin of the realm, which is never money. The question is, what kind of people do you want in your team? If you want to try to include ‘everyone’ then you are being adaptive about your context and will only create kindergarten.
When someone uses the words ‘cult’, ‘sect’, ‘abuse’ or ‘safe’ they are almost certainly rallying the fearful reactivity of the crowd, rousing them for a Witch Hunt. In this case, it can help tremendously to clarify precisely what a ‘sect’ is. When you are crystal clear about the characteristics of a sect (I suggest reading this article), what abuse is, or the consequences of valuing safety above all (see the Old Map of Cultural Design), you can grab the Witch Hunt goblin by the throat and hold it to the light before it has time to take over the space.
Other Witch Hunt narratives have already been debunked in the context of Possibility Management even if they continue to stir up murky power in less radical contexts. Such as:
The belief in ‘needing to be a good person’. The Witch Hunt trigger is that if you express feeling angry, everyone knows you are demented and dangerous.
The belief in ‘needing to earn money to live’. The Witch Hunt trigger is that if you poke at the idea that people are a slave to money, your own financial motives become suspicious.
The belief that ‘you are pressuring me’... to create more, to change, to become better, etc. The Witch Hunt trigger is that you and what you deliver has become the persecutor, and the participant has become the victim. The pattern is that, for a while, the person pressures themselves to enter a fantasy world which they believe you want them to enter. For example, they pretend to be a ‘good Possibility Manager’. After some kind of overload or breakdown, the fantasy world collapses and they go into their swamp. The Witch Hunt trigger is that they blame you for the whole thing. This pattern is explored thoroughly on the Radical Reality website: https://radicalreality.mystrikingly.com.
The belief that ‘you should love pets’. The Witch Hunt trigger is that everyone should love animals, and if you refuse to have dogs in your community, you are obviously not human.
The belief that ‘you should trust people’. The Witch Hunt trigger is that if you refuse to automatically trust others as the basis of connection, you are paranoid or not safe to be around..
PART 2: IN CASE YOU HAPPEN TO BE A ‘WITCH HUNTER’…
Perhaps by now you suspect that your Gremlin has a Witch Hunting survival strategy. Read on. The first thing to stay aware of is that being a Witch Hunter is not better or worse than any other survival strategy. Yet… the survival strategy owns your life, meaning, you are captured by its limitations, you are unable to live beyond the reaches of your survival strategy. Your survival strategy is a prison. By living within the limitations of your survival strategy you leave behind you a trail of dismantled teams and broken dreams. Without being aware of it, you surround yourself with small people who do not threaten your Box’s positionality. This means, your Archetypal Lineage is starving, and probably also your heart and your Being… a sad state of affairs.
On the brighter side, you could change your mind. As they say in Possibility Management, “Your mind is yours to play with and make into whatever you want.” You could replace your Gremlin’s Witch Hunting survival strategy with your Being’s creation power. Undermining your own survival strategy has two main paths:
First, ruthlessly study your Box-Gremlin patterns of seeking damning evidence to justify burning your friends alive.
Do you think someone can brainwash you? Study brainwashing. Study memetics. Who would someone need to be to be susceptible to brainwashing? How can you develop a stronger inner structure?
You think you can be abused? How? What makes you open to being abused? What can you learn to be less naive and uncentered? What kind of person lets themselves be abused? For what benefit?
You think you are non-binary? Study the method and cost of any form of identification. Consider, is there any purpose to imposing your identity on another except the desire to fight about it?
When did your Gremlin learn to play the victim as a way to manipulate the people around you? What did your Being want that you could not get and therefore gave your Gremlin the job to handle it for you?
Do you collect evidence and store it in your secret stash until you are ready to put your enemies on trial? Do your proofs extend to what the projected authority figure has done to other people? Are you on a mission from Gremlin to catch the spaceholder in their Underworld to corroborate your claim? So that what? What do you think you will get when the spaceholder is ‘caught’?
These are some of the signs of a Witch Hunting survival strategy.
As you thoroughly research your Gremlin talents, go through the Emotional Healing Processes needed to disarm your survival triggers.
Second, learn new skills to take care of yourself without engaging your Gremlin’s survival strategy. This is an amazingly engaging and endless path of gaining real world agency.
Dismantling your Witch Hunting survival strategy is not about abandoning your hard-won scanning abilities. Those will not go away. The purpose now is to use them, not for survival, but for discovering and empowering new potentials in yourself and others. The Witch Burning victim-persecutor game has only one outcome: the vicious cycle of war and fear where ‘winning’ is actually losing. By now, living in the 21st century, it is possible to be bored of repeating the same war stories used for the last 6000 years.
The best ways we have found to learn these new living skills is in a team, a ‘possibility team’, meeting together at least once each week (online or in person) to practice for a couple of hours. Not to talk about ‘practicing’, but to actually practice with live feedback and coaching from the others. In a short time you become a ‘winning happening’ team. The practice becomes so joyful because by making mistakes, everyone learns. It is such a precious way to be human and to interact.
What new skills do you need?
Keep your center. Build your centering muscle until you only need 1-3% of your attention to be centered, until you shift identity into being a Centered human.
Stop surrounding yourself with people who want to give you their center. Lower your numbness bar to the ways that you want people’s center to substantiate the value of your Box and Gremlin’s identity. Organize a consistent Gremlin research 3Cell to not fool yourself.
Practice creating with your feelings using the four steps of the Feelings Form in the present moment, letting yourself enter the liquid state of creating into the Unknown. Practice until you can experientially moment-to-moment become your feelings in action.
A creation skill to develop in parallel is: making proposals, and transformational proposals whenever you feel afraid. This is a conscious use of fear. Proposals are a creation force. Witch Hunting is a debilitating force.
Old ghosts are just that, invisible entities meant to scare you and those around you into normalcy. Now you can simply turn around, face the ghost, and say, “Hello ghost. Thank you for saving my life. You were a solution to a problem that I had a long time ago. Now… you need to find another job. I don’t have that problem anymore. Someone else needs your services now. Thank you for your time and efforts.”
Dusty unimaginative stories have been rubber-banding the bogeyman together. If you brush the stories apart, you find that just behind the veil is a clean, clear, and expansive space for discovery and possibilities.
You have the power to make Witch Hunting truly a thing of the past.
Now you can become a Witch Maker.

Finally, another Survival Strategy laid bare. I feel so glad that Spaceholders no longer need to be subject to the Witch Hunt Survival Strategy. Now, those who feel unconscious fear can find a responsible way to heal and grow up without having to throw their full force of Gremlin at the Spaceholder and trying to destroy the Space. https://witchhunt.mystrikingly.com and https://spaceholdertraining.mystrikingly.com
